Good Neighbor Ventures is a 501C(3) nonprofit organization focused on “increasing social and economic development in neighborhoods” in order to produce today’s and tomorrow’s skilled and responsible workforce.

Our Mission

The mission of Good Neighbor Ventures is to act as a “catalyst” to increase social and economic development in neighborhoods by building a “collaborative network” that:

  • Invests in systems, organizations, assets and people,
  • Delivers a youth and adult social development training system that facilitates moral development, socialization, and cultural competency, and
  • Delivers a youth and adult economic development training system that facilitates job readiness training, workforce development and micro-business creation.

Our Vision

We envision neighborhood residents, schools, businesses, churches, nonprofits, funders and investors working together to create a strong social and economic environment directly within their community.

We accomplish our mission and vision through two comprehensive goals:

Goal 1: Strengthening Neighborhoods

Strengthen targeted neighborhoods by providing resources that inspire collaboration between the neighborhood residents, schools, businesses, churches, nonprofits, funders, and investors in order to reduce and prevent crime, increase healthy lifestyles, improve educational success, and increase job skills and employment.

Goal 2: Empowering Residents and Businesses

Empower youth, families and businesses by providing a systematic process that leads to empowerment through coordination, collaboration, capacity-building and mobilization of resources into targeted neighborhoods.
